Free CPD: Futsal tactics, a review during real play
The event
7th May 2017, 2:30pm kick off. Loughborough Futsal Club and Genesis Futsal Club will clash in the playoffs for the title of the FA National Futsal League title. This is one of the best games available to watch in English futsal, and the event is anticipated to be memorable.
The International Futsal Academy, in partnership with the Leicestershire & Rutland County FA and Loughborough Futsal Club, are organising a CPD (continuous professional development) for futsal coaches. Around this prestigious game, participants will look into Futsal Formations / tactics – a review during real play. The CPD will count as 3 hours towards Licensed Coaches Club renewal
During the game
Participants will be given the chance to review both teams’ tactics in possession and out of possession, with a focus upon performance. Tactics shall be reviewed around the state of the game: ‘why’ specific tactics shall be used, and what tactics could be implemented. Participants will also have an opportunity to discuss their thoughts around these and shall debate around the comments.
Post game there shall be discussion with both team managers to review any tactics that may have been implemented, and to delve into their minds around ‘why’ they adopted the specific tactics and how the game may have influenced their decisions.
The managers
The CPD will be delivered by International Futsal Academy coach James Barlow, a FA Futsal Level 2 tutor and UEFA ‘B’ licensed coach. Loughborough’s manager Juanan Garcia is a Spanish Futsal UEFA Pro licensed coach, and Genesis’ manager Carlos Codinha is a Portuguese Futsal UEFA A licensed coach. Juanan and Carlos have kindly agreed to share their expertise, aiming to promote the development of English futsal coaches and in an example of what National League clubs can achieve working together.
