The Sixth form was founded in November 2011 and was converted to an academy on 1 August 2013 by the Landau Forte Charitable Trust. The Sports Centre is situated along the Ashby Road. It was opened officially by Mike Gatting and Sarah Taylor in 2013, and compromises of a sports hall, dance studio and climbing wall.
